Lum's was a sort of Diner restaurant that had scattered locations across the U.S. Grandma picked up the Ollie burger. Cozy, hole-in-the-wall, mom & pop restaurant specializing in classic Chinese comfort food. The chain grew, but in more recent years, they simply fizzled out. Lum's began as a Florida hot dog stand (the franks were steamed in beer) and was bought out by Cliff & Stu Perlman in 1956 for $10,000. I cant be certain what he would have said, but he saw me walk in, didnt inform any of the waitresses to serve me, so I would think he would have told me to wait. And who could forget the lunch counters in W.T. Ollie Fries, like Five Guys fries, but good. So to answer the original question, nothere are no more Lum's left in Michigan.
